We met back in 2010 while attending college for filmmaking in San Francisco but we like to say that the Pacific Ocean is to thank for bringing us together. Khoi’s family immigrated from Vietnam in the late 90’s and while he was beginning to establish his roots in California, Kelli was being raised all-american in Missouri. Although it’s unclear who fell for who first, one thing for sure is that it wasn’t love at first sight. It took time for us to get comfortable sharing our hearts with one another but after months of FaceTiming all night talking about our dreams of traveling the world, our love for food, our goals for sharing powerful stories with the communities around us and the great and not so great memories from our pasts, we became pretty much inseparable. 

Right before the pandemic our friends encouraged us to start a YouTube channel and it’s been through that outlet that we’ve discovered the importance of archiving our life experiences together. As filmmakers we naturally gravitate towards video but in the same way that a movie never happens without a script, our videos usually have a much bigger story behind them. To ensure the archival of those bigger stories and to also have a place for our experiences that don’t necessarily make it onto the channel, we created this website.
